We’ve been in the business for over 85 years, since 1937, and have worked on a variety of different projects ranging from ground-up construction to major additions and renovations of occupied facilities. We listen to our clients’ wants and needs and bring their vision to life. And while every job teaches us something new, we carry that knowledge to future projects. Our experience helps us win projects from repeat clients and design professionals who were satisfied with our services. Madigan is proud to be known for constructing quality buildings that stand the test of time.

Family Owned and Operated.

As a fourth-generation business, we have built strong and lasting relationships with our clients, design professionals and subcontractors to create a successful environment. Every project we work on will have direct involvement of a Madigan family member. Of course, all construction projects will have their individual challenges, and we find that clients appreciate having a direct line of communication for problem solving. Not all of our employees are Madigans, but we certainly treat them as such. Most of our employees have been with us for over 20 years while others have joined us from recommendations of current or past employees. We strive to create a safe, comfortable, and fun work environment and encourage growth within the company.

Massachusetts is in our blood.

We have been a staple in the Massachusetts Construction industry for 85 years, so you are bound to drive by many of our completed projects throughout the state. Yet while we have strong roots being based in Worcester and Central Massachusetts, we have completed projects throughout the state, New England, and even nationally. Our wide range of project locations has provided us with a solid and extensive base of quality subcontractors who have worked with us on numerous projects. This ensures that we are able to get the most competitive pricing available. We also work closely with many local building inspectors and design professionals. Whether you are in the early stages of a project and need help with design or pre-construction, or you’re ready with a fully designed set of plans, we are here to bring your vision to life.

Keeping up with the times.

The construction industry is always changing and to succeed you need to be adaptable to the newest trends and technologies. Madigan finds success within the industry by running all of our projects through Procore, the industry leading construction software. We also utilize iSQFT and Modelogix for our estimating and budgeting purposes making sure that our field staff have full field connectivity. All employees have up-to-date safety training along with offering continuing education on a variety of topics through industry groups such as AGC and CSI.

Safety is Our Priority.

We believe safety is a culture and Madigan is dependent on our strong safety program. It is important to us that all of our employees go home to their families safely, each and every day. We make this possible through our pre-construction efforts by the development of site utilization plans, emergency action plans, and project phasing. The potential safety risks are thought of well before we ever put a shovel in the ground.

Madigan is the proud recipient of over 16 annual safety awards from AGC of America, starting in the 1960’s. Our history of safety in the company has helped shape our current policies as new technologies and tools are introduced to our industry.

70+ years of membership in the AGC of Massachusetts

On May 18th the 2023 Associated General Contractors of MA Annual Membership Meeting, Award Ceremony, and Social was held at Boston College’s Connors Center in Dover. Jim, Andrew, and Brendan Madigan were honored to attend this event. We are proud to share the news that Madigan was presented with the Longevity Award to recognize our membership in the AGC of Massachusetts, an organization that supports and advocates for the construction industry.  Madigan has been an active member of the AGC, and both Bud and Fran Madigan have previously served as president.  We believe in the importance of supporting our local and national trade groups, acknowledging our continued dedication and commitment to Building Excellence in the Construction Industry!
