St. Mary’s Credit Union New Bank Branch Building
Location: Marlborough, MA
Client: St. Mary’s Credit Union
Architect: DRL Architects
Madigan was hired by St. Mary’s Credit Union to build its new 4,600 sf building located at 133 South Bolton Street in Marlborough MA, to house a new 2,400 sf bank branch as well as a 2,200 sf Starbucks. The project involved the complete redevelopment of the site for the new parking lot, drive aisles, and ATM island as required for both tenants to have drive-through space. The interior of the credit union has high end finishes and modern equipment. The wood framed building was designed to have a residential look to it, and has been a great addition to the Marlborough neighborhood that it is located in.
Challenges of this project involved hitting a significant amount of ledge that led to utility redesign, working through the COVID-19 Pandemic, and coordinating with the Starbuck construction team so that they were also successful in opening. Despite these challenges the project was completed successfully.
