Madigan took on the challenge of renovating a bustling church sanctuary while accommodating ongoing services, funerals, and holiday events. The project seamlessly merged modernity with tradition, updating the sanctuary's flooring, millwork and lighting while preserving its historic charm.  This was a phased project with the first phase involving replacing the flooring in the sanctuary and upgrading the lighting.  Working with a specialty vendor who removed, restored and reinstalled the pews, Madigan leveled the existing slab and installed new tile flooring with a beautiful custom mosaic located front and center. Other work during this phase included relocating the baptismal font and updating flooring and walls in the confessional room.

A second phase took place to replace the existing millwork behind the altar.  Taking care to protect the irreplaceable mosaic feature, Madigan removed the existing millwork, added a tall wainscot and re-built the columns aside the mosaic to accommodate a large canopy housing motorized blinds. The intricate canopy consisted of structural steel wrapped in millwork.  Our team worked with the parish (including the attached school) to ensure minimal disruption to religious ceremonies and school activities. Construction activities were carefully coordinated during off-peak hours and utilizing temporary worship spaces. The renovation, completed with the utmost respect for the architect’s vision and the church's sacred significance, offers a revitalized space for the congregation to gather, reflect, and celebrate for generations to come.
