Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Meetinghouse
Location: Newton, MA
Client: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
Architect: Warnick Associates
This Church Meetinghouse located in Newton, Massachusetts was constructed for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints – a client with whom Madigan has worked with numerous times throughout our history. The project is located on a plot of land in a residential neighborhood, that had previously been occupied with a dense forest. While at first some residents had concerns with the project disrupting the quiet, idyllic neighborhood, our field and office teams working on the project were able to minimize our impact on the surrounding residents and maintain positive relationships throughout construction.
The building itself has been designed to extremely strict design standards in nearly every aspect, including the structure, MEP systems, and finishes. To ensure that all specification requirements were met or exceeded, we reached out to several contractors across the country with experience working on Church of Latter-Day Saints projects. These contractors allowed us to draw upon their unique knowledge of the Church’s design standards to overcome supply chain issues due to COVID-19 and other unexpected issues to deliver a quality-built place of worship for our client.
